The application process

Services provided by The Oak are free. You can use our expertise and support to guide you into your future study and career path.

Visit our office or complete an online enquiry or application form.
We are a qualified education agent counsellors listed in the Qualified Education Agent Counsellor Database (QEACP). Our staff will sit with you, discuss your individual circumstances and needs and help you find the study plan which is best for you.

 

• Collect the required documentation
  Once you decide on a course we will give you all the information and advice you need regarding application requirements.

 

• Apply for your course
  Once all the required documentation is received we will then apply to your chosen education institution abroad. At this stage you will pay any necessary application fees.

 

• Offer of placement
  If you meet the entry requirements for your chosen education provider you will receive a letter of provisional acceptance into your course, including information about tuition fees. (If you do not meet the criteria, we will discuss bridging courses or other study options).

 

• Accept your offer
  Through The Oak, you pay your tuition fees to accept the offer of placement in your chosen course.

 

• Arrange health cover
  The Australian Government requires international students to take out health insurance while studying in Australia. You need Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). We can help arrange this for you.

 

• Enrolment Confirmation
  You will receive a letter confirming your enrolment into your chosen course.

 

• Student visa application
  We will guide you through the visa procedure.

Your counsellor will provide you with a pre-departure briefing and discuss any additional support requirements (e.g. accomodation etc).
